My daughter just had the first piano lesson with TJ, but I can tell he is a good teacher, he's also cheerful, and I think my kids will have good quality piano lessons with him.

I have only had a few lessons with TJ thus far, but I can already tell working with him was a great decision. I am taking piano lessons from him and it is very clear he knows his stuff well and he is also very easy to get along with. I had some prior experience playing the piano and I've played guitar for 13 years so I wasn't sure where I was going to start out with these lessons but TJ did a great job of gauging where I was at and really taking my desires into consideration when constructing lessons/pieces to learn. Overall I've had a great experience and would definitely recommend him.

Our initial online lessons experience was pleasant when Kerry @lessonwithyou did our onboarding and got us squared away. Kerry's customer service was great! However, when we were connected with our piano Instructor, Larisa Soboleva. She was all but horrible and very unprofessional. She had a very thick accent which was a language barrier. Her children would always be very loud and distracting in the background. Larisa was very impatient with our children and would express her frustration through sighing and becoming very short. She would often rush through the lessons and would want to move on even though my children did not master the parts of the song they would struggle with. Even though the lessons were via Zoom there were no way for the company to allow us to record so our children could go back and review the lessons. Being able to go back to review was important to us because Larisa would often rush, they could barely understand her due to her accent and they wanted to master their songs. When I reached out to Larisa to discuss my concerns in a very professional manner her response " Kerry will arrange a new instructor for your children. Thank you and good luck!" Kerry was surprised of her behavior. I cannot recommend this service because the company lacked the resources to provide another Instructor and our children had to abruptly stop their lessons.
This is very unfortunate because due to Larisa's pride and not being able to take constructive criticism, my children have been very discouraged about taking piano because they do not want to end up with another teacher like Larisa.
