I've been in the trades for 50 years and own l Noble General Contracting LLC . I reached out because I needed a design for a large retaining wall project. During my career I have dealt with structural, civil engineers, attorneys and other professionals and you always feel that they hold you over a barrel. Meaning they agree to do the job and then after 2 weeks you have to call to follow up about the progress and they tell you they're working on it. You seem to only get calls from these professionals in my experience when they need cash flow. This company is not like this. I felt very comfortable. Exactly what I was told on our initial phone call is exactly what this firm did. It is not uncommon for plans to be submitted and to be reviewed by County, State, city or town officials engineers and usually you will get a comment letter back on some changes that they request before they can issue a building permit. Sometimes this takes months. Time is of the essence in construction. Before my plan was finished I received a phone call and we discussed the base for the retaining wall. It was suggested the design be done with a concrete footing. I could not have agreed more. I recently did a large block retaining wall for a customer and I suggested to him a concrete footing. The customer thought it was an added expense because other people were telling him he did not need it. I explained the situation. We poured the footing and installed the large blocks, 1 ton a piece, stacked two high and the customer was very happy because of how straight it came out. I am so glad that this firm recommended the concrete footing. My plan was submitted and was approved after one review by the county's engineer. This is very rare in my experience. I recommend Blake at Resolve Engineering and is now my go to engineering firm! I highly recommend. Glad we met.
