- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Do to the hundreds of variables involved, I (almost) never offer pricing without visiting the site and discussing the work firsthand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is straightforward: 1) I visit the project site (e.g., your home) to discuss the project and your vision; 2) I prepare a written proposal for your acceptance (via email, typically); and 3) I prepare electronic invoices for the deposit and all future required payments.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Early in my career I was fortunate to work with and to be tutored personally by a young man who as a carpentry instructor at a regional trade school.
