Needed some help for some general HVAC maintenence and redoing where the air filter for my blower goes.

I have hired this pro to do a thorough check up and maintenance of HVAC, furnace, water heater, he told me the job should be done in 2 hours, however I was charged for 3 (he was here for 3.5 hours, I'm not sure how long it should take, but it's longer and more expensive than the quote for sure). He's friendly and trying to be helpful, which I do appreciate. However, my heating system wasn't working after he did the check up and the maintenance, which is only two weeks after the service (I did the service before winter really comes to be prepared, but I'm probably not having the right person). He was responding and trying to help out at first, but the moment he figured that's probably not something he knows, he gave out, not responding to the text messages and not answering calls, completely disappeared.
I had to call another pro and see if someone else can do the job(we are freezing in the house and this is a very urgent situation). And of course, I paid more.
I have also realized he hasn't flush the tankless water heater, which upon the conversation with other folks it should be done during the service.
Again, nice person, but I do hope there could be a bit more standard and more communication involved. And even if you don't know something, please clearly communicate rather than just ghost your client.
