My partner and I scheduled lessons together with Jaime to learn the guitar. We are both beginners, so we chose Jaime because of his several reviews of being very knowledgable about the guitar and patient with people, which proved to be true. Overall, our first experience with Jaime was great! We really enjoyed our lesson and look forward to many more.

Just started working with Dan and am impressed with his responsiveness and flexibility. As a busy professional who works long hours...and wants to squeeze in guitar lessons...it was great to find someone with weekend availability AND who is willing to come to my house, making lessons efficient/convenient. At my first lesson, it was clear he would be a great fit - I learned more in one lesson with him than I did in 5 lessons with a teacher I had a few yrs back. Very impressed so far.

Brad is not only an excellent guitarist whose skills inspire me to work harder, but also a patient and creative instructor. I have been a student of Brad’s for almost a year now. Although I started off with little to no knowledge of the guitar, I can now read sheet music, play scales, and connect music theory to the pieces I am playing. In each lesson, Brad builds my arsenal of guitar-playing tools by teaching me helpful drills, contextualizing techniques and notes to their purpose in the music, and making new concepts accessible to a beginner like me. He is a fun and trustworthy teacher who I feel has my best interest in mind. As long as I practice and meet him halfway in our lesson plan, I trust that my abilities as a guitarist will continue to grow.
In terms of logistics, I have also been very pleased and appreciative of Brad’s scheduling flexibility and communication. I have taken both in-person and online lessons with him, as well as weekly for some months and bi-weekly for others. They have all been equally effective and of high quality. Brad is organized with his materials, plans ahead to make each lesson worthwhile, and makes himself available to questions and concerns even outside of lesson times. I highly recommend taking lessons with Brad if you are looking for an approachable instructor who truly cares about his craft and his students’ learning experiences.

I have been taking guitar lessons with Brad for about a year and a half now and it has been a really rewarding experience. Brad has a very professional and down to earth teaching style which has made it easy for me to feel comfortable with taking lessons form him. Brad understands I work a full time 9-6 job and the limitations that come along with that.
In terms of his expertise, I appreciate that Brad as a classically trained player is extremely knowledgable in both the guitar and music in general. I am someone who needs context and Brad has always taken the time to explain concepts and ideas thoroughly. He really concerns himself with the musical context and meaning behind everything that we play and this allows me to feel like I am actually growing and developing a musical identity as opposed to just mechanically playing an instrument.
I am extremely satisfied with the progress I've made while being Brad's student. While I appreciate his help in diving into music that I want to explore, I am equally grateful for the structure and overall comprehensive framework that he brings to the lessons. Lastly I would say that he has helped me constantly achieve and set new goals in my guitar journey. I needed someone to make my learning as efficient as possible and that has been possible with Brad.
If you're serious about starting to learn the instrument and are looking for an instructor that will work with you to figure out what works best for you - I would definitely recommend trying out a lesson with Brad.

I found Grey on thumbtack as a beginner to intermediate, self taught guitar player who wanted to find a teacher who would be able to teach foundation music theory and strengthen my playing technique. I have been extremely satisfied with Grey, he has been great at focusing on certain topics over multiple lessons, and giving me new things to practice on in my own time. Grey is extremely knowledgeable and clearly has much to learn from, he is great as breaking down the complexities of music theory, and I always leave lessons with him feeling inspired from our sessions.

I highly recommend Jaime as a guitar instructor for any level. From day one he is invested in your development and shares his expertise openly from tips on technique to theory. Having picked up the guitar a few months back I was hitting a plateau and Jaime helped me break out of my rut. Giving me a roadmap to follow made for more effective practice and accelerated my progress. Staying connected throughout the week he encourages recordings of your practice between lessons keeping you on track. He is always willing to tackle any song or calmly explain theory over and over until it finally begins to sink in! A great instructor as well as a kind, patient and thoughtful person. Highly recommend!
