Introduction

I started freelancing in 2014 because of my passion for working independently on projects I truly care about. Night Owl gives me the chance to collaborate with other creatives and provide video production and photography services to businesses, non-profits and individuals all over the country. I have a BA in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and an MFA in Film and Television Production at Loyola Marymount University. I stepped away from freelancing for about a year to focus on my masters, but due to COVID-19 and the opportunity to do most of my school work online, I am able to dedicate time to working on freelance projects again. I am a realtor and I needed property photos and a virtual tour done at short notice. I had not used Thumbtack before, so I was wary. Ashley messaged me very promptly. I found Ashley's work on Thumbtack, and I liked the quality, so I hired her. She arrived early and worked for a long time - I like very detailed property shots with close ups of unique, custom, designer fixtures and features. Ashley totally exceeded my expectations in terms of how well she understood the "look" I was going for. She sent the pics via Flickr and the VT via DropBox, and I uploaded them to realtor.com and my local MLS with no problems. I cannot think of one downside to the experience - my criteria are: competence / promptness / courtesy / quality. I am definitely working with Ashley on my next listing.

Each project begins with a brief consultation to determine the details of what the client needs. I then work with you to lay out a budget, contract and schedule any necessary shoots and/or editing time.

I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a BA in Mass Communications and from Loyola Marymount University with an MFA in Film and Television Production. I have 15 years of experience in video/film production, script/copywriting, and photography.
