Elif is a very skilled piano teacher for our son, who came to her already knowing piano but still wanting to better his skills. Lessons are in her beautiful home, set up specifically for piano lessons. Elif is able to listen to and watch his playing, determine what skills he needs, and how to stretch his innate abilities. My son enjoys his lessons very much--which is saying a lot! He leaves feeling enthusiastic about what he just learned, and excited about trying it out. We are very grateful to have found her, and highly recommend her as often as we can.

I consider myself an adult 'beginner' student because even though I took lessons for a year or two in my pre-teens, I've long since forgotten how to play the piano or read music.
Recently I found Jon Novi through the Thumbtack website. I was thrilled to learn that, right from the start, he would teach me the songs I was most interested in playing bypassing the uninspiring, rigid, standard training lessons. In fact, we spent our very first session on a song that I've been wanting to play for years, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
Jon has the qualities of a great teacher he's very enthusiastic, positive, and encouraging, as well as a very skilled musician. Best of all, he takes the time to listen to the student, guiding and motivating them to reach their goals.
