I needed to hire a photographer for a headshot that could provide a quick turnaround time for the finished product, along with agreeing to my shoot location requirements. Alex responded to my inquiry within minutes of sending it on Thumbtack, and we scheduled a shoot for two days out. I requested a professional headshot with a white background. Alex came to my house with all the necessary lighting and equipment. The shoot took less than 30 minutes and I had the proofs the very next day! Fredrick is a nice guy and a good photographer, however, I don’t feel he has the skills necessary to take professional grade headshots. The final pictures that were sent to me had amazing backgrounds, but some had shotty lighting and glares from my glasses. I am not experienced at professional headshots so I needed direction and he wasn’t able to provide any. For instance we were trying to use the natural light, but the sun being directly in my eyes caused me to look distressed in every picture. I’m not sure if there is a work around, but don’t say the pictures are fine or good when I look clearly distressed. I did reach out to him and let him know that I was not satisfied with the shoot and he offered another session free of charge, but with the lack of direction I feel that it would just be a waste of time. In summary if you need professional headshots and you need direction I would find someone else.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Will for acting headshots. He does an excellent job making his subject comfortable and bringing out the best so they don't look posed or stilted. Will really knows how to maximize lighting and poses, capturing subtle differences from frame to frame. He is extremely responsive and professional, and I will definitely use him again. I may also use him for some scenic photography because his landscape work is also fantastic!
