Ken recently installed crown molding, chair rails, and window casings at my house in St. Pete. The finished product is exactly what I had in mind and his quality was second to none. Ken's bid was very competitive and since I read so many positive reviews about him, I went ahead and scheduled him to install almost 300' of crown molding in our new 1700' condo that we purchased in St. Petersburg. Upon arrival, he very creatively figured out how to get 16' long molding up six flights of stairs with minimal effort since the freight elevator was not tall enough. My biggest surprise was to learn that my ceilings were actually cement which precluded nailing the molding directly into the ceiling. Ken carefully explained to me the additional work that would now be involved, what the extra cost would be above his original bid, and then gave me the option to either go ahead or cancel the job at that point. I am very happy that I committed to doing the job since the total price was still very fair, Ken's experience and installation were exceptional, and he uses the best tools and supplies for a quality job. In fact, he would not leave until he personally was satisfied with his final job and even put on second coat of paint since he felt one coat was not sufficient. I do not often take the time to write reviews, but I would certainly use Ken again and not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Update 4/24/17 - I will respond to the contractor's reply, then make your own determination as a potential customer. I will preface by saying I was 80% to 85% happy with Ray's work. I did not state this clearly previously. See attached pictures.
This job was completed two months ago (not four), less than two when I made the initial request for Ray to come back and I have the text correspondence to prove it. The vent hole was there, although the register was not because there was an ongoing project where I had to remove it. Nonetheless this should have been noticed at the time of install with a question raised as to what to do. I admit I know nothing about carpentry - this is why I hire contractors and hope they point out details in the project such as this one.
I will concede if two pieces are the best solution then I will withdraw my comment on that. If so then Ray is correct.
I would also note I was not necessarily in a hurry to have the issues fixed because I had other contractors working at the house at the same time and did not want them in Ray's way. I did point this out as not urgent to fix because of this reason.
I will attach all my text correspondence with Ray. I was polite. I will also attach the email Ray sent me following my first review. Thank you for your time reading my review and follow up.

My wife and I hired ABS Construction to install around 450 linear feet of crown molding in four bedrooms of our house. My reviews are mixed. I may consider rehiring in the future, but at this time leaning towards no.
TL;DR version - the final product was ok with some workmanship lacking. I believe if ABS Construction worked on their house the same way they worked on ours, they would not have been happy leaving their house in the same condition which they left ours.
Full review below:
The good -
Ray was professional and courteous in person, his pricing was reasonable and he completed the project on time. For the most part, his installation and joints were satisfactory. He came back and tried to fix only the errors that we pointed out.
The not so good -
For all bedrooms, most of the molding was not completely caulked/sealed until we pointed it out. He did come back to fix this.
Two of the four bedrooms were not completed to our satisfaction. In the first bedroom, the work was left with nail holes visible, unpatched and not fully painted. Ray came back to fix but we still had to touch up with paint afterwards because the repair work was still visible.
For the second bedroom, Ray should have told us he was running out of material and we would have authorized the purchase of additional molding. I say this because for two of the walls (8' long each), smaller pieces were put together and jointed, when a single run would have been more appropriate and would have also been a much better execution.
Next, I give Ray some credit for trying to use touch up paint to fix wall damage. Unfortunately, the wrong shade of blue was used and there were several splotches of paint we had to fix later. No big deal for us to touch this up afterwards ourselves, but an acknowledgement or apology would have been nice.
Lastly, 1-2 months after the project was done I found that our AC supply vent in this room could not be put back on after the job was done. This is because the vent is too close to the wall and instead of stopping and restarting after the vent, a single run was installed. I was hoping Ray would be willing to come back to help fix this, but I think he is ignoring my emails at this point. So I will need to hire someone else to fix this for us.
I will also mention that Ray admits in the beginning that he prefers not to do any painting, so just keep in mind you may need to paint yourself afterwards or hire a painter separately. In our case he did pre-paint the molding prior to installation and then we did the final touchups ourselves after the project was done.
