FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price my shows based on audience size, length of the show, type of magic entertainment provided, the venue size, travel distance to the event and whether the show will be performed outdoors or inside.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The greatest teacher is experience. I began practicing magic at age 10 and started performing professionally when I was 12. I took magic lessons from many prominent magicians but it was my constant interaction with audiences that shaped me. As well as being a member of the Society of American Magicians, I am also a theater director who studied acting and directing at the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Wash, DC and at the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab. I have worked as an actor or director at The Kennedy Center, Ford's Theatre, Studio Theatre, Theater J and The Chocolate Factory. I believe every play or musical is a big magic trick that unwraps to reveal all of its surprises.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Stage magic, close-up sleight of hand and walk-around entertainment are all part of my repertoire. I have performed corporate trade shows for Xerox, McDonalds, and MCI; library shows for counties in MD, VA, DE, & the city of Philadelphia; galas and private parties in Washington, DC for Union Station, French & Italian Embassies; 20 years of New Year's Eve performances for the cities of Warrenton, Annapolis, Leesburg; and hundreds of shows for children at schools, birthdays, carnivals, and the Fairfax County Park Authority.
