Introduction
Hi all! I’m Ben. I am a passionate photographer who finds joy connecting with others and creating beautiful images. Weddings provide an immense amount of joy and my aim is to connect with others and document the even as they unfold naturally around us. My style is warm and natural and I work to weave portraits and candid images to create a visual story of the day. I also teach 4th grade at a local charter school and appreciate how photography and teaching develop different aspects of who I am. Ben far exceeded our expectations. In fact, I am a bit fearful of leaving something out in this review given all he did for us. Of all of our wedding vendors, Ben will be the one that we will remember the most. He was the most personable and the one with whom we developed a strong rapport. From the beginning of the process through the end, my (now!) wife and I had a lot of thoughts, suggestions and ideas (too many probably) and Ben patiently listened and incorporated exactly what we wanted while also offering his own thoughts and ideas based on his photogenic eye and experiences. Ben's package is a steal. From an engagement shoot, to traveling out of town (and state) for the wedding itself, to his thorough editing, to the easily accessible online gallery, to the top-of-the-line album, and finally the thoughtful delivery of the flash drive (we won't go into detail to keep that part a surprise), we couldn't have asked for anything more. If you are looking for the photojournalism style for your wedding (the one that tells a story of the big day instead of just a bunch of family photos), it would be well worth your money and memories to book Ben as soon as possible. Ben recently photographed both my engagement pictures and my wedding. Before the wedding weekend he took our engagement pictures at the venue so that he could get ideas for the wedding and get to know us so that we would be more comfortable with him on the day of the wedding. Ben was with us for 11 hours day of the wedding and ran in circles all day to capture the bride and groom getting ready, family and friends setting up the venue, and all the behind the scenes activity. Ben never felt intrusive, but worked great with my family and friends and got the little kids to open up and smile for him. He made suggestions to the DJ throughout the night, such as where to have the garter toss so that we could take advantage of the lighting. Our favorite shot was that immediately after our outdoor ceremony Ben climbed up on a ladder to take a group shot of all the wedding guests, that shot is priceless! Ben is very creative and got great shots of little details like cufflinks and zipping the wedding gown. All of our guests raved about how impressed they were by him and his dedication to making the day perfect for us. Ben surprised us by sharing 40 photos of the wedding with us just a week after the event so that we could have a sneak peek. He just finished the hundreds of photos for the entire wedding and sent them to us 5 days before we were expecting them! Ben is very easy to work with and communicates quickly via email. He took lots of suggestions from us and was even willing to learn light photography to get some fun sparkler photos at night. He is great at utilizing natural light rather than relying on flash. We really appreciate all of Ben's hard work to capture the day without appearing too intrusive or staging everything. I would recommend Ben to anyone, and know that my family looks forward to using him again in the future!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I am a service provider and thus try to match the needs of my clients. Wedding photography is great in that every wedding is deferent and people celebrate this event is such a wide variety of ways. Some clients have had 2 hour courthouse elopements while others have sought 12 hour traditional ethnic weddings. They are all wonderful.
