FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
What the customer should know about my fees is that my company is new to Thumbtack, so I am eager to get reviews and will discount my pricing to get those first customers. Make that you! Also, I am conscientious and won’t make you regret starting the project, but rather will encourage enjoyment of the process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to listen to them and interact with them to understand their needs, wants and general preferences aesthetically, functionally and financially. The next step is to present a proposal that indicates the scope of work and the expected timeline and costs as well as optional features and their expected impacts. There tends to be some revision to this proposal that leads into a contract. Typically design drawings are finalized after some iteration, which leads into record production drawings and documentation which are used to build the product, install the product and explain care and maintenance. After installation of the finish product, a quality check is performed to the satisfaction of the customer and then close out documents are compiled and published. Customer care is very important to me, so follow ups to confirm satisfaction are done unless the customer opts out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The education and training I have in this field is in business and consumer behavior and over twenty years of experience in high quality complex woodwork such as monumental stairs, yacht interiors, millwork in residential and commercial settings working from builder to engineer to project manager to general manager for the most sought after cabinetry in the Bay Area. I tend to gravitate toward the more challenging projects. I believe there is always a way to achieve precisely what the customer wants.
