Hi, I'm Julie! I run Kismet Kitchen, a local personal chef business based out of SF. I provide whole, nourishing, and tasty food for families and working professionals who want healthy meals but don't always have the time to cook or may have diets that make it difficult to eat out.
My most popular service is preparing weekly meals based off specific diets, allergies, and food preferences. This includes grocery shopping, cooking, packaging and cleaning each week in my clients home kitchen or delivering prepared meals to their homes. I also cater events, group dinners, and, I especially enjoy providing delicious meals for new moms.
I'm obsessed with using seasonal ingredients and have fun playing with new flavors every season. As a result, my food is simple, full of freshness and flavor, and always made of whole, nourishing ingredients. I make mostly vegetarian meals, but also cook meat, vegan, paleo, GF, anti-inflammatory, organic, or any crazy new fad diet you can come up with - I love creating recipes specifically designed for you. In fact, I started my career as a lab scientist and treat my kitchen much like a laboratory: always playing with new flavor combinations and creating recipes for varieties of diets and incorporating new local ingredients. This means means my clients get lots of variety and get to experiment with new unlikely (but delicious) flavors.
