We had an excellent experience working with Pridex Construction! We contacted them about removing popcorn ceiling for a single-family home. They responded quickly (within an hour) and provided an estimate of the labor cost before viewing the project the next day. I appreciate that our communication through the Thumbtack app and in person was straightforward and honest. I hired Adrees to remove popcorn ceiling and retexture my ceilings, but the experience was a complete disaster. He left my home in disarray—removing smoke detectors, vents, and other ceiling fixtures, scattering them in my garage, and refusing to return to complete the job. When I withheld a small portion of payment until the work was finished, he resorted to threats.
After I refused to pay for an incomplete job, Adrees returned to my home while I was out of town and deliberately damaged my new granite countertops. I have since filed a police report against him.
Avoid this contractor at all costs—his behavior was unethical, unprofessional, and outright malicious.
***In response to his comment, it is entirely inconsistent with the messages I received from him via text, which were nothing but threats. After seeing this post, he sent me yet another threatening text, this time claiming he would take me to small claims court.
Please do, Mr. Adrees. I would be more than happy to present your threatening messages, photos of the condition you left my property in, and evidence of your trespassing while I was away, along with the damage you caused to my new countertops.
In stark contrast to Mr. Adrees' horrendous and unprofessional behavior, my countertop contractor—whom I also hired through Thumbtack—demonstrated true professionalism and kindness. Upon learning about the situation, he replaced the damaged countertop and only charged me for the new granite piece, waiving the labor cost.
The difference in integrity speaks for itself.
