I'll give Garry full stars for his patience! I had never taken any music lessons, but at 28 I decided I really wanted to learn to play an instrument. Piano sounded great and I'm really glad I found Garry because learning to read and play music is something that doesn't come naturally. He has so much patience and really takes the time to explain the way everything works (even if I'm not totally getting all the music theory:)) When I get frustrated I take a step back and appreciate that a few months ago I knew basically nothing about music but now I am reading music (albeit slowly) and playing songs, which is just wonderful. He is really understanding the way I learn best and trying to work with it. We have had a couple of scheduling mix -ups but life happens and he always makes sure I get my lessons. I also like that I can do lessons at his studio and I know other students also do home visits, he really tries to work with people. If you are looking for a music teacher, Garry is great, give him a call:)
