100% satisfied with Carlos and his crew. I needed two doors fixed due to rotting from water damage. The damage occurred due to poor work from the previous carpenter. Bill and his crew installed a new front entry door on my house. When I purchased the home, it had a poorly hung front door that didn’t seal correctly. The strike plate had to be adjusted for the lock to even close! I put up with it for a year, probably going through miles of weatherstripping. After an unsatisfactory experience with a different repairman, I contacted Bill and Horton Remodeling Services.
He was very thorough in the initial call with explaining fee breakdowns, the likely cost, and listened to what I needed and even what I hoped to pay. Even though I paid more, it was worth it. I got what I paid for, as the saying goes. The door was done beautifully, and they cleaned up perfectly after the job was finished. They had to remove and replace a security door as well, so it wasn’t a simple job! I was kept informed of the job progress with texts, and emails.
* This would be a five star review, but the door had a long scratch from the top almost to the doorknob when installed (the install was done while I was at work and unable to see/view the door). When I contacted them, they didn’t offer any type of money off, and told me that was how they received the door from the company. Then they offered to quote me a price to paint the door to cover the scratch. I feel that contacting me when they picked up a scratched door to see if I was okay with it would have been better, and then perhaps negotiating a bit lower price for a damaged door instead of waiting for me to notice the damage and ask about it. I was disappointed about that part of the job and interaction.

Stephen showed up quickly, assessed the issue, made suggestions and set a time to return and repair the door. After removing the door, he discovered another issue which he also took care of. He found a couple of other small issues that he also fixed.

The project was to install a storm door. Chris stopped by to look at the project scope and to estimate the time and material that would be required. He picked the door up from the home improvement center and delivered it to our house. He was always very prompt and called ahead of time to inform us when he was scheduled to arrive. There were some challenges with the installation but he saw the project through to a satisfactory completion.

Nick is AMAZING!!!! We live in Sedona and own a town home in Tucson. I needed our front door replaced as well as the sun protector covering replaced on the patio. Called Nick and arranged for him to meet our daughter to give us a physical estimate. As our daughter works, Nick was willing to wait till she finished to meet him- after "normal" business hours. He squeezed us into his rather booked schedule and with in less than 48 hours he did the entire job. He even went to Home Depot and purchased the door for us! We communicated on the phone as he was shopping for the best door style for our property.
Nick did a fabulous job and totally cleaned up after himself. Best of all dispite a few "unknowns"- things neither of us expected to come up- he managed to fix all the issues AND keep us in a very fair price!!! Nick is now my "go to guy" for any repairs or improvements in our future.

Stephen was extremely prompt, showing up the day I requested in the evening after 6 pm, after he had already worked the whole day on other projects. He was polite and worked hard, improving the door closing performance about 90% over about 2 hours. When he was done, the door would close over the threshold, but still scraped a bit. For the last 10%, since it was late, I said he could go and that I would finish the job. We have been able to complete the job with a wood file, but it obviously would have been preferable if had totally completed the job, possibly with a circular saw. He was using a utility knife and that wasn't sufficient.
