MaryAnn V. says, "Before coming to Fred's studio, I had already been playing for 14+ years with private lessons. However, I hadn't had the opportunity to take lessons for a couple years and I missed the structure that came with piano lessons. Not only did I get the structure that I wanted with weekly piano lessons, but Fred has been able to help re-inspire me to love the instrument. I leave each weekly lesson excited about the music I'm supposed to play. He doesn't waste my time teaching me principles I already know, instead he opens points of discussion about what the composer might have intended and how to play with feeling and expression.
There have been several times where the day of my lesson comes and I haven't practiced. I feel apprehensive and wished I'd canceled the lesson with a feigned excuse so I can go home and practice instead. I'm always glad I didn't cancel when I get to the lesson, though, because Fred will inevitably teach me something new and get me excited to try again the next week."See more
