FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please take the estimated hourly prices on my profile with a grain of of salt. There area lot of things that going into providing a quote that's fair for both parties, including the amount of playing time, the repertoire being played (anyhow much work that will require to prepare), travel time/gas, and the nature of the event. If you're ever unsure of a quote I give, I will be more than happy to explain how I got to a given number and listen to any counterpoints you may have. My goal is to provide the best musical experience possible for a price everyone is happy with.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will probably start with asking you to tell me more about your event and what you're looking for from me. As we figure out how I can best accommodate you, I will also work with you to find the best musical options and approaches for your event. I can, of course, also provide recordings of my own playing so you can make your own decisions about what I'm suggesting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching music lessons over fifteen years ago, in college, and performing for weddings not long after.
