There are two "levels" to doing work: doing what you were asked, and going above and beyond. In other words, you can "show up" or "show out". In terms of the basic ask, I don't have any concerns. He showed up and got the basic task done. It was a challenging set of work - and I don't think he expected it to be as challenging as it ended up being. He didn't go above and beyond - things like cleanup, some spots missed, etc. As a growing business: the way you get customer referrals is to always push to go above and beyond, because landscaping (as someone who does it for a hobby) is a very competitive business. Which means making sure that your service always goes outside of the boundary of what was expected of you.

We had an amazing experience with ICE Lawncare and Alex. We purchased a home that had extremely overgrown plants/weeds along the entire exterior of the house, an unkept flower patch in the front, a woodchip patch where a dying ash tree had been removed, and a woodchipped/sanded patch in the back where an old playset was removed. After beginning to try clearing things myself, I quickly realized that I was in over my head and that we needed professional help. Alex was the perfect person for the job! We hired him to clear and clean up the overgrown sections and the woodchipped areas, to place tarp/mulch along the side of the house, to plant some boxwood bushes in front and some burning bushes in the back, and to lay grass seed throughout. He worked extremely hard to get this project completed in two days at an extremely reasonable price, and delivered with exactly the results we were hoping for. He was very responsive and super friendly, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Thanks again, Alex!
