VMR customs removed old carpet from the primary bedroom and stairs and replaced the carpet with beautiful laminate floors. They also did a custom and colorful installation of vintage vct in the bathroom. They checked in with me throughout the job to ensure that they could stay until the job was done and cleaned up afterward like they were never here. Definitely will use agin when we replace other worn out floors throughout the house.

I just want to say thank you to VMR Custom for the amazing work they did on our house renovation. We hired them mainly to do the kitchen remodeling/ renovation which turned out absolutely fabulous! The kitchen was completely gutted and they turned the kitchen into a brand new kitchen that we will be enjoying for years to come! We love it! In addition to the kitchen renovations, there was some other work with the house that needed to be done which I asked them about along the way, which they happily agreed to do (exterior siding re-installed, demo and leveling of the floor in preparation for flooring installation and a large window replacement due to a crack along the entire seal.) The VMR Custom (Vlad, Mike, Russ and all of their sub-contractors,) are a wonderful team and very pleasant to work with. With the much needed work that goes into any home renovation, I will continue to contact VMR Custom to get the job done. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, efficient, friendly and honest in the work that they provide with outstanding workmanship and very skilled and talented in what they do. I highly recommend them to do any house project that you are considering!

VMR did an excellent job installing new floors throughout our house. They were very responsive getting us quotes and providing ideas/samples to consider. Once work started they were very efficient and worked hard to accommodate our schedule. We are so happy with the result and would certainly work with them again for future projects. VMR Customs was on a long list of contractors that I had reached out to for our bathroom renovation. A few of the contractors never even got back to me with bids even after we took the time to schedule and meet with them to come look at the space. We originally wanted to just hire one contractor to do it all, but after so many poor experiences with other contractors we started booking each job separately. We finished plumbing, electrical, and a new subfloor before we finally found VMR Customs. The same day bid and fast communication was a huge shift from what we had experienced from others and ultimately why we chose to go with them.
We hired VMR to finish our remodel including tub install, shower and floor tiling, vanity install, adding a recessed medicine cabinet, and finally floor and door trim to finish off the space. Our tiling specifically is what deterred some of the other contractors and tile businesses we reached out to because we were cutting 12x24 pieces to square and working with smaller, 5x5 squares for our shower area. VMR sent their tile guy out and he is arguably the best tiler in the PNW. The amount of cuts and intricacy involved didn’t even phase him. Our shower tiles varied in color tone and has a raw edge that he took great care to place strategically on the wall for a cohesive look. At a little over $100 a box this was a splurge area for us and we appreciated that they took the time to make it look perfect and talked over exactly what we envisioned before starting to lay anything. We’ve already recommended VMR to friends and will be hiring them for our future home jobs we have planned as well. Highly recommend!

This is a family business where the father and sons work together with other helpers. I really enjoy working with a family business where a craft is being passed down. They did a great job installing new laminate in my kitchen, which required removing the old counters, building new ones, and fixing the holes where the old backsplash came off down to lath and plaster when the old laminate was removed. They installed really nice edges which I had not thought of which matched the style and tone of the kitchen. It was better than I planned. They arrived on time each day, cleaned up their mess at the end of the day, and were polite and clean. I felt they respected me and my old house.
In any project in such old house there will be wrinkles. In this job, the backsplash removal damaged the walls, and the old sink surround got messed up when they took it out. The company took responsibility for the sink and gave me a new one for free, and also gave me an oral bid for the work on the backsplash.
My only criticism was that the original bid included a zero cost for the laminate itself, so the bid was not inclusive. They also did not use this platform to send a revised bid. The email with the revised bid never reached me, so I had sticker shock when the $3400 estimate wound up being considerably more. This was not intentional on their part. They adjusted the bill because of their error. I would happily use this company again because they worked with me to make the overall cost fair in light of the hard work they put in. They are polite, skilled, and timely workers who will work out problems with you amicably as such always happen in jobs with old houses!
