Mike and his team did a great job on flooring and baseboard installation. It was not an easy project and their were a few hiccups but Mike did right by them and made sure we were happy with end result. Would definitely hire again. Nice, professional, trustworthy crew.

We hired Mike and his crew to renovate our kitchen in our 100 year old house. Mike was a pleasure to work with- he was very nice and responsive. Unfortunately we were left pretty disappointed along the entire renovation. We initially started the renovation in April and we’re told the project would take 4-6 weeks. The project was delayed many times and we did not actually end up with it finished until July. Sadly, many of the sub contractors that showed up to do work only came in the evening hours after another job and many days did not even show up. There was very little to no over site of the project. My husband and I were at the house every single day and saw the general contractor 2-3 times over a 3 month period. It was disappointing that Mike was not available to make sure the subs were showing up to the project, doing the project correctly or managing it at all. There were a few instances what my husband and I caught mistakes ( ex: improperly placed light switches, poor quality electrical work and things that just did not get done). After catching the mistakes, Mike did make an effort to correct them and make it right but we were basically managing our own renovation. We ended up getting a separate electrician to fix the electrical mistakes . In the end, he did give us a discount but it was hardly worth the money we paid for the work. Also, the Vinyl flooring installation in our kitchen has already started to come up in some areas ( just three months later). And the fridge does not fit properly between our wall and our cabinets. So we are not pleased with the work or the money we spent at all. All in all, nice guy at the company but very disappointing work and management.

Details: Full remodel of existing kitchen • No, plumbing will not need to be relocated • Yes, electrical will need to be relocated • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • Residential

City View Construction's reply
Dear Jessica, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about your kitchen renovation project. We understand that you had certain concerns, and we'd like to address them as accurately as possible. First, we want to clarify a few points regarding the timeline. The project indeed began in late April/early May, and we had initially estimated a completion time of 4-6 weeks, considering potential changes in scope. (Which occurred by having our team take care of the rest of the demolition, install all new drywall, and texturing the entire kitchen and others parts of the home) We had a new estimate of completion of 6-8 weeks. This being said the project was finished on the 3rd week of June. Delays did occur, partly due to unforeseen factors, such as material selection and temporary pauses requested by your end. We always strive to communicate openly about any timeline adjustments. In terms of oversight, we apologize if you felt there was insufficient supervision. While you may recall seeing us 2-3 times over the so called three-month period, I personally visited the project site more than 10 times, ensuring that the work was progressing as planned and addressing any concerns that arose promptly. Regarding the mistakes you mentioned, we acknowledge that a couple of issues did arise during the renovation process. However, we take pride in our commitment to rectify any errors promptly and ensure your complete satisfaction. It's important to note that remodel projects never run perfect, issues come up. I can confidently say that any issues we were notified of were fixed within 24 hours. The concerns about the vinyl flooring and the fridge fitment are noted. The only reason the vinyl flooring could be coming up is because you installed a wall over floating floors without discussing with me first. We would have appreciated the opportunity to address these issues during the final walkthrough to ensure your complete satisfaction. We remain committed to resolving any outstanding matters to your liking. Our ultimate goal is to deliver high-quality work and exceptional service. We regret that your experience fell short of your expectations, and we genuinely value your feedback as it helps us improve our services. If you have any further concerns or require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for choosing us for your renovation project, and we hope to have the chance to exceed your expectations in the future. Sincerely, Mike City View Construction
