FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Aspen was a 2018 Finalist for the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics (for all of Western Washington). We firmly believe that pricing should always be fair and reasonable for every customer. We do not allow our technicians or sales representatives to overcharge customers. 90% of new customers will receive pricing from the owner of the company or our office manager. We provide military and senior citizen discounts of 5% off your initial service. The owners and employees at Aspen share the belief that fair pricing ultimately leads to a stronger business through customer referrals and good karma.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every customer is afforded the time and attention they deserve both on the phone as well as in person. Aspen offers free in home inspections (with the exception of real estate related inspections like the buying or selling of a home), no pressure phone consultations, free pest identification, and advice is always free. Every technician at Aspen is friendly, has good values, and is very easy to work with. We believe that an initial service should be detailed and never rushed. For this reason we pay our technicians an hourly wage rather than commission. For further questions regarding the overall customer experience please check out our reviews on Google, Yelp, and Angie's List. What you will discover is that Aspen is an award wining service that puts the wants and needs of its customers first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our technicians are fully licensed, bonded, and insured. You can find proof of licensing on the Washington state and Oregon state Department of Agriculture websites. All you need to do is Google "(your state) pesticide license search department of agriculture." Once you land on your state's Department of Agriculture website, type in Aspen Pest Control into the pesticide license search toolbar. Our Washington state license number is 87471 and our Oregon state license number is AG-L1030820CPO. Aspen is happy to provide any customer with proof on insurance upon request. For commercial clients, we offer free "certificate of insured" service and will add you to our policy upon request and provide you with proof of this. Aspen provides some of the best training in the pest control industry. When we hire a new technician, the individual goes through intense classroom and months long field training with an experienced technician. All technicians must pass state licensing exams before being allowed to service on their own. Aspen believe in continually educating technicians on pest control best practices in the NW. We hold technical training meetings every week and require our technicians to attend several major pest conference each year. 100% of continuing education is paid for and required by Aspen so that our technicians stay on the cutting edge of the pest management industry.
