We use a flat rate system for appliance repair. It involves charging a fixed, upfront fee for services, as opposed to billing customers based on the number of hours worked or the cost of replacement parts. Mention that under this system, each type of repair or service is associated with a predefined price. These prices are typically based on industry standards, the complexity of the repair, and the cost of parts. Benefits: No surprises by unexpected labor cost Fair pricing Additional costs, such as the price of parts or unexpected complaints are typically communicated to the customer for approval before proceeding with the repair. Example: technician will assess the appliance, determine the issue, and provide a flat rate quote before starting any work. Average flat rate fee is $200
