Introduction
Winston and Rebecca Davis originally grew up in Roanoke but met in Winchester, VA after college. Once starting a family they decided to come back to the Roanoke Valley in May of 2023. They have a 9-month-old little boy named Wyatt and they live in Salem, VA. Rebecca has a background as an artist along with art education while Winston has a background in the moving & storage industry.
Winston started as a mover for one of the largest franchised moving companies in the country while living in Winchester and moved up the ranks to Moving Sales Consultant, Sales Manager and ultimately leaving that company after 4 years to start his own business. In 2020, he founded "MoveUp" - a recruiting agency that services the moving & storage industry all over the US. MoveUp is the #1 recruiting firm for the industry and Winston regularly speaks at major industry events across the country.
After moving back to the Roanoke Valley, Winston & Rebecca could immediately tell there was not a hometown favorite for moving that led with a local brand. Between Rebecca's desire to create a local brand with meaning and Winston's deep knowledge in the moving industry they knew it would only be a matter of time before opening Big Lick Moving!

Kicked ass. Up two flights of awkward “pivot” stairs into an older home upper apartment. CK made sure to get it handled. No damage to any furniture or floors/walls! Really worth it. Will be using them again for sure.
Details: 2 bedroom home • Within the same building • Load flat; no stairs or elevator • Unload via stairs

Made a stressful out-of-state move so much easier. I had so, so, so much stuff for them to do and they did it all while still cracking jokes and making the most of it all. They were so very positive and even had some words of encouragement for this transition. Thanks guys!!

I totally loved Big Lick Moving. From the first time I called to the second with problems, they were there or me. They listened, cared, and accommodated me according to all of my needs. When my moving "days" came I had the best 6 guys to handle my move. They were friendly, courteous, respectful, and took are of all my needs. I had a broken ankle and foot...they helped me personally as much as possible too. My guys...Isaiah, Jamel, Alex, John, Dee, and Trey did the work that 8 men should have been doing. I highly recommend Big Lick Moving!!

Will and Michael did such a wonderful job getting us moved in today. We moved from Houston Texas and after a long long drive these fellas were a breath of fresh air. Made sure the items were all put where they were supposed to and went above and beyond to make sure moving day went smoothly for us. 10/10 would recommend

Michael and will came out today exactly on time and got immediately to work. They were affable and kind and studious and professional. They worked constantly and diligently and asked us questions when they needed to be asked and took enough initiative to not bother us with a bunch of unnecessary questions. In fact, they were so good that my parents decided to use them as well and my parents are notoriously picky about the companies they work with. We could not be happier with big slick moving and it is all due to the hard work of Michael and will. We are building a home and will be moving into it in a year and we will be specifically requesting them to help us with that move because we were so impressed today.
