FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have simple, transparent fee based pricing, one time or ongoing. I have multiple ways of matching pricing to client needs. No investment minimums necessary. And of course, our first 1 hour consultation is free. Planning fees can be paid as a stand-alone separate expense or can be included in investment management fees if investment management is desired. Fees are determined by the scope of service and complexity, but typical fee examples would be $750 for a 2 meeting comprehensive review of your existing plan, to $1500 for development of a retirement income plan for those just wanting to buy a plan to manage themselves, to $300+ monthly for plan development and ongoing comprehensive planning with scheduled meetings and agendas to address longer term planning needs. If products are needed you have the option of securing those through my company, and any compensation from outside vendors is fully disclosed. If I am unable to show you substantial savings in fees or a substantial increase in your wealth and/or income, then I will not offer my services, there simply wouldn't be a reason for us to work together.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything starts with an initial conversation, either in person, on the phone or a Zoom call. After an initial brief meeting, we would typically have a free one hour consultation to review your financial situation, answer any questions, and provide some Social Security strategies and cash flow analysis. This is detailed information, specific to you, and yours to keep regardless of whether we continue to work together or not. After this initial consultation, it will be evident if we are a good match and if you need additional assistance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have the designations of Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), Certified Long-Term Care (CLTC), National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), and Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF). I am completing my coursework for the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
