FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically do not charge hourly rates for services such as grass cutting, edge trimming, or leaf cleanup unless the project is particularly large or complex. For residential jobs, I prefer to provide a fixed price based on the job's specific requirements rather than hourly rates. Additionally, I strongly believe in using my tools and equipment for several reasons. Relying on customer tools can often lead to disputes in the event of breakage, and using professional-grade equipment allows me to work more efficiently and deliver higher-quality results. I am fully equipped with all the necessary tools and machinery, including two pickup trucks, dump truck trailers, and a comprehensive assortment of tree care equipment. This readiness ensures that I can handle a variety of tasks effectively. I am always open to discussing pricing options and finding a solution that accommodates my clients' budgets before I send my quotes. It’s beneficial for both parties to have a clear understanding of financial expectations upfront, and I believe this approach fosters a better working relationship. I am intensely interested in expanding my services within this field. I find it particularly intriguing to observe how others in the industry, especially those who quote significantly lower prices, perform their work and the standards they maintain. It would provide valuable insight into different service delivery and quality assurance approaches.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We recognize that time is a precious commodity, and we appreciate the need for efficient planning. Conducting a comprehensive on-site assessment of the job location is essential to gain a clear and accurate understanding of important elements such as the dimensions, layout, and various access points. This firsthand evaluation provides critical insights—such as spatial constraints, potential obstacles, and the overall environment—that photographs alone cannot convey. Relying solely on images can complicate pricing, as nuances that impact cost might be overlooked. However, if I can secure high-quality photographs that clearly illustrate the pertinent details of the site, I would be inclined to provide an estimate leaning toward the higher end of our pricing spectrum. This approach is rooted in the need to account for unforeseen complexities that might arise once on-site. Ultimately, a final pricing decision will be made following a thorough site visit. This ensures we consider every relevant aspect and factor into our pricing structure, providing you with the most accurate and fair estimate possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Finding and cultivating plants that resonate with your preferences is essential for a successful gardening experience. However, the real challenge often lies in discovering what you truly enjoy. With my background in landscaping, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. I am a certified arborist climber, which means I possess specialized skills in the care and maintenance of trees. Additionally, I hold a pesticide license, ensuring that I utilize safe and effective methods for pest control while protecting the environment. My fertilization certification further qualifies me to nurture plants with the proper nutrients, promoting healthy growth. These qualifications enable me to create vibrant, thriving landscapes tailored to individual tastes.
