Michael M. says, "Nick did a really good job of explaining the entire process and being thorough. Obviously I had hoped that we just had a bad ignitor but it turns out that we had some seals on the inside that were leaking. I did not notice that when I had check the ignitor myself, but the leak was going into the insulation and was not to the point where it was dripping into the pan. Between the leak, and bad thermostat/controller which Nick was able to diagnose I had two choices. Either replace the thermostat and get the leaks sealed or replace the entire unit. As this was the original unit I decided on the latter. Squeezing out an extra few years the way things are getting more expensive did not seem to make any sense, plus Nick recommended the coverage through RJ Home Services which will help if I have any issues outside of warranty. I really appreciate the work and the ability to get the unit replaced the same day. Although we don't view it this way hot water is a luxury and getting that back online was a must. Nick made what I thought should be a two person job, pretty painless. The biggest thing when dealing with companies for these types of issues is not being railroaded by either up-selling or something like that. Nick provided recommendations, but there wasn't pressure either way. I'm a social capitalist in that I want folks to make money, but I don't want to get raked over the coals. I ended up spending $3,000 which included installation, extended warranty, and of course removal of the old unit. While on the high end I still feel ok about the price based on the service and the hope that this new one last a bit longer than the old unit (approximately 8 years). If we can squeeze 10 out of this joker that would be great. Thanks Nick and RJ Electrical."See more
