Luisa LT&T offers Italian and Japanese classes ONLINE. You can choose between private lessons and standardized group classes. Please refer to the photo section on this profile or visit our website for the complete price list. All learning materials are included in the price. All prospect students have access to a FREE CONSULTATION with our instructors. Our courses are planned and taught by Italian native speaker, Luisa Montagner, a dedicated and qualified professional based in Chesapeake, VA. Luisa teams up with Ayano Maramba, a native Japanese speaker, to deliver Japanese language courses with the perfect combination of native insight and international perspective. Since opening in 2019, we helped over 120 students reach their goals and offered over 3,000 lesson hours. We maintained consistent 5-star reviews on all platforms, as well as overwhelmingly positive feedback from all students.

She is incredible. I had a few Italian teachers before Luisa and none of them compare to her. Her lessons are interactive, challenging, yet non threatening. She carefully designs each class to be unique and knows how to modify them according to my learning style. When I am exhausted, she wakes me up. When I am slacking, she finds ways to make me accountable. Luisa is the very essence of what a teacher is and should strive to be like. I am so grateful I found her! Even my mom takes lessons with her now! And her Italian...God it is gorgeous!

I thoroughly enjoy my weekly Italian lessons with Luisa!! As a fellow teacher I can say her lessons are really on point - she provides a well-balanced approach that incorporates listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as discussions about Italian culture. She uses quality materials and has tons of suggestions for additional resources that I’ve been checking out. Luisa is extremely patient and kind. I really appreciate that she makes herself accessible across the entire week so that I never feel stuck when I need clarification on something I’m practicing. She’s also piloting a new group class which is fantastic - a really fun way to practice chatting with others. I am so grateful to have found such a skilled and professional guide for this experience. I will definitely be ready for my Tuscan adventure :)

My wife and I have been taking Italian lessons from Luisa for a few weeks now. She has been great! We are very busy and are learning the language at different speeds, but Luisa has worked with us to make the lessons very interesting, informative as well as fun. I would highly recommend Luisa to anyone interested in working with a true professional that also puts fun in the mix.

I wish I could select all the options for this review, the price is right, the professionalism is authentic, she puntual, her resume is super impressive. I truly enjoyed my Italian trial lesson with Luisa. The material seems easy to follow, and she’s very helpful during the lesson, she makes sure you don’t have any questions or doubts before moving on to the next thing. I love that she provides a structure and helps you set goals for you and your learning experience and expectations. Luisa also has many options and fun tools to make your learning easier and for you to practice during the day. I know that most of the learning process depends on yourself, but it definitely helps to have a friendly, experienced and professional person like Luisa helping you! I recommend her, and I am thrilled to be her student!

Luisa is great! She was super responsive when I first contacted her - I went from thinking about private lessons to having a trial session within an afternoon, with my first official session two days later. The classes themselves are fun - she’s easy to talk to - and the customized attention is well worth the cost over group lessons. I can see improvement in my Italian after just four sessions. C’è ancora molto da imparare, ma ho fiducia in Luisa!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We define objectives aspirations of prospect students so we can tailor teaching methods and contents to them. When receiving a message on Thumbtack, we usually schedule a Zoom meeting to discuss everything in detail face to face.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Luisa: • Holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching and promoting the Italian language and culture to foreigners and a Bachelor's Degree in Japanese studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. • Completed an Italian teaching internship at Old Dominion University, VA, in June 2019. • Studied and worked at Yokohama National University from September 2016 to August 2017.
