This was a complicated job, but Charlie and his team (Vidal, Bryan, and Jace) did it impeccably. I asked them to build large circular deck around a slightly raised circular platform for a yurt. It is by no means easy to be framing in circles, but they figured out how to make it work. I was very invested in this project and Charlie was always willing to hear me out, offering suggestions on the best way to attain the desired outcome. The Kebony decking was both expensive and not the easiest to work with, I appreciated the care they took in avoiding cracks in the decking. As you can see in the pictures, they did a great job on the cedar railing. He also cut the cedar plank so that it would curve to the circle of the deck border. Not only this, but he cut the inner 20 foot diameter circle perfectly. This measurement was important for the yurt to go up easily, and he did a great job. Most importantly, it is obvious to me that Charlie is someone who cares about the quality of work that he puts out. He is detail-oriented and is sure to make everything level. Charlie is down-to-earth, responsive to requests, honest, and talented. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has decking or framing needs.

Charlie and his crew framed out my 1000SF addition. They worked quickly and kept to my somewhat tight schedule. Charlie was up front and honest and was great about keeping me informed throughout the project. He even helped fix a few design issues and gave me a reasonable rate. He was very responsive and and took pride in his trade. I would definitely hire this crew again for framing work.

Charlie Shepard and his crew did a fantastic job of transforming a large wooden deck into a larger Trex Dec with attractive railings and solar lights. What impressed us most was Charlie’s dedication to the task and his ability to lead by example. His crew followed his example and together, they completed the task in Six days. When the job was completed, they cleaned up the place, power washed the new deck and left it sparklingly clean. Every day, the crew came bright and earlier and stayed until it got dark. We want to thank Charlie for his dedication and commitment to getting the job done right. We would highly recommend Charlie and his crew and we will definitely call Charlie for our next project.
