i was remodeling a bathroom and did not want to deal with the plumbing for my new vanity. This was the only company that responded and was ready to come out to give me a quote. we scheduled a time and Jose showed up and gave me an estimated quote and start time. Have no issues with the completed work.

Jose was prompt and responsive throughout the process, from initial request to completion. We had a fence that was falling over. He replaced two support posts, setting them in concrete so they would not rot quickly, and power washed the fence which now looks like new. We will use his services again. Great value.

I hired them to build a bookshelf with Murphy doors. During their second day of work, shortly before lunch, Jose brought a new “worker” he said would be helping with lunch. He also asked if they could fish off of my dock during lunch, which I apprised. They then proceeded to spend 3 hours on my dock fishing, watching a game on their phone and drinking beer. The “worker” he brought, was only brought to my house to fish. I addressed the issue with them and they left. Or so I thought. They pretended to leave by driving around the corner and parking in front of my neighbors house. The owner and his workers then proceeded to trespass our local HOA park to fish and drink leaving bait and emptied bottles all over the park. I had no idea until the HOA sent out notices of vandals in the park with the surveillance of their vehicles. I then emailed and asked them not to come back to finish the job. Stephannie (wide and co-owner) begged me to let them finish and I agreed on the condition that she come watch them the entire time. She did and they finished the job. In the process they damaged my custom flooring which cost me over $2300 to fix. This was the most unprofessional and horrible experience I’ve had with a contractor. I paid over $5k just for Jose’s labor (suppling the materials myself) for this type of behavior and outcome. They didn’t so much as offer a discount for this horrible experience.

Also I hope you are satisfied with the reimbursement of the floor you had to fix. I can assure you we don’t work like this and am sorry for the horrible experience you had with us.

J&S was super responsive in getting my shower floor resealed against leaks and painting the damaged ceiling below. A great contractor that spells out your options and prices so you get what you want, and understand the risks. Did not try to force additional work on me. Thank you and would use again.

J&S Home Improvements painted my 1 bedroom, 1 bath co-op. They were right on time for their estimate appointment, asked me good questions, and made recommendations. When it came time to evaluate competing estimates, J&S's estimate was competitive from a straight up dollar amount, but included more services than the larger company. I felt very comfortable with Jose, who both provided the estimate and led the crew of 3 other painters. Over the course of 2.5 days, they transformed my new home. Stephannie in the office was very responsive throughout the whole process. I'm very happy with the work they did, and have already recommended them to several friends for their upcoming painting projects.
