I’m extremely disappointed with the service that I received from Mr. chimney. The technician that came here was very nice, but the mess that was left is unacceptable. He mentioned that the chimney was very dirty, fine. We haven’t lived here that long so I don’t know when it was last cleaned. I was also never ASKED THAT prior to service. But then we should have been warned that soot would be all over everything in the house, including the WHITE chair in the room and all of my kids toys. Nothing was brought to cover up anything. Had I known the complete mess it would have left in my house, I would have been happy to provide my own cover for our furniture. It has ruined the chair, I have now mopped 3 times in the living room and my feet and my babies (ages 2 and 1) are still getting dirty from the mess that was left YESTERDAY. It’s all over toys, shelves, our 7k sectional, everything! I reached out to the company and they said they only guarantee the chimney and the chimney was dirty. So they are only capable of cleaning chimneys that aren’t “too dirty” I suppose. They sure did cash my check in a hurry though. They are also complaining that I paid the amount quoted to me and should have paid more. They quoted a price without asking any questions!! Why should I pay more? It should also be noted that I don’t know what type of equipment is typically used, but he used a small shop vac to clean the chimney. I would have expected something more. Again, our chimney was dirty, yes. BUT, I would have appreciated some consideration or at least a warning to protect all of all of our furniture, toys, rugs, babies! Awful experience!!
