I contacted NOVA for the purpose of resurfacing our small driveway, and specifically to fix a number of depressions in the asphalt. NOVA suggested a resurface should be good enough and that a full replacement wasn't necessary. Their quote was actually higher than others but they were responsive and completed the job quickly. Price wasn't an issue since our HOA was willing to pay to get the job done professionally. However, the depressions were not adequately repaired, which became evident after a recent rainstorm. When I contacted Mark about it, he stated that he could do nothing other than charge me again to fix a problem that was clearly stated in my original inquiry. In a subsequent email exchange, his responses became argumentative, defensive, and unhelpful. In hindsight, this was a small scale assignment for them which they likely rushed through. Unfortunately, it resulted in a sub-par job that Mark/NOVA could have easily remedied by prioritizing customer service and professionalism. Thankfully we did not hire them to complete resurfacing driveways of all 16 townhouses under our HOA - as our driveway was in the worst shape, we offered to do the trial run - and now we know.
