Beeline responded very quickly to my Thumbtack request, which was great. I had a couple mounds of dirt in my yard, and told them initially that I did not know what was causing the dirt mounds. I was aware of the $65 inspection fee, with the understanding that if I chose treatment that same day, the $65 wood be applied to the treatment cost. Everything sounded great, up to that point. This morning a young man arrived, looked at the mounds, said it was moles, and called the office to verify price. The office told him, without seeing the dirt mounds, no, it's not moles, it's gophers. Beeline can't treat for gophers, a detail I was not aware of to begin with. So, after standing in the front yard for 10 minutes, looking at these mounds of dirt, deciding via a phone call they can't treat, I was still charged the full $65 inspection fee. The entire "inspection" was looking at my lawn, and having someone on the phone give a diagnosis. I understand it costs money to run a business, but really, $65 to have a 5 minute conversation, and then be told they couldn't treat for gophers which is something I feel should have been mentioned earlier, seems like I just got scammed out of $65. Perhaps if I had been warned ahead of time that, oh by the way, if it IS anything bigger than a mole, we can't help you, I would not feel so taken advantage of. We are new to Utah, and I'm finding out the hard way there are different rules and regulations for exterminators. Live and learn I guess, but this was definitely not a good experience for me. I had even sent pictures of the biggest mound, and it seems someone could have realized it was too big for a mole to have made before they even came out...

We are so sorry to hear you had a less than desirable experience with us. We want to take care of things with you right away, we pride ourselves on our customer service. While we are not new to pest control (this is our 19th year in business), we are brand new to the Thumbtack platform. Either we weren't provided the information that you had mounds of dirt and the photo you had sent of the mounds, or we don't know where to find them. Clearly the pictures you attached to the review are gophers. Since we don't treat for gophers we wouldn't have even bid on your request if we had known. Just like you said a brief phone call would have easily diagnosed this as something we couldn't treat. Unfortunately, because we were communicating with you through Thumbtack instead of on the phone we didn't go through our normal procedure and ask all the questions we would have normally. That is a lesson learned for us and we will do better going forward.
We don't feel right about charging for an inspection that couldn't have turned into a service for you anyway. That is why I have refunded the charge on your credit card. We would still love to hear from you so we can make things right with you. Again we are so sorry for any miscommunication on our part.

They came and sprayed for spiders, I found one but haven't seen any since. No evidence of the mice has returned, the food out in the garage hasn't been gnawed on. They do have plans to come out and check the traps.

We had a terrible Box Elder infestation. They came out and I was sure I’d need another treatment, but the first spraying they did seems to have worked. I’m very happy I went with them.
