Strengthening Marriages: One Picture At A Time
It’s hard to put into words how much I love what I do, but hopefully, over the next few paragraphs, I’ll have done some justice explaining just how much I truly do care.
It ignites a fire inside my soul to be able to witness people experience what may be one of the greatest, most emotional days of their lives. I want people to understand that this isn’t a job, I truly live and breathe the couples that give me the opportunity to continue doing what I love so dearly.
I have several beliefs when it comes to my passion. I believe that the business begins and ends with the name Kristi Lyn Photography. That’s not to say you aren’t going to get professional photos. You are, but I believe in having such a deep personal connection with every couple I work with. I want to be your friend. I want you to be as big of a part in my life as I am in yours.
I believe in capturing the moments in between. Capturing the happily unplanned doesn’t happen with a pose, it happens when everyone is comfortable enough to just let loose and be themselves.
You deserve so much more than a “look at me and smile” picture, you deserve pictures that are going to capture the essence of who you are. On your wedding day, if you’re the bride or groom, you’ll easily miss 70% of what happens on your big day. Family members hugging, kids dancing, missed tears, and the many laughs and genuine smiles that your day brings. In essence, I totally don’t care to creep in a bush and shamelessly take pictures of your loved ones just being who they are. You’ll totally still get the group pictures AND so much more. I'm totally going to make dumb jokes. Not sorry. If embarrassing me means you two get to have an experience, then I'm down.
Bringing it back to that personal connection, I am totally down to send memes back and forth at 1 AM or chat with you when you can’t sleep the night before your wedding. When the wedding is over, I am not done being friends with you. I want to connect with you and watch your life develop with that person you love.
In essence, your wedding is a very intimate, personal, sensitive time in your life, and I want to be there and not only take pictures but support you in every way. I am pretty fond of you and are beyond humbled to have the opportunity to be doing what I love. You pretty much rock.
