Hi! I’m Laurie! I started my Laurie’s Precious Pets business in Lebanon Ohio, in the fall of 2020. I moved to Sanger, TX on Nov 1st, so I could be closer to my daughter. My business in Lebanon went well. I had many repeat customers and I can provide references on request. I’ve had cats &/or dogs or watched friends for over 30yrs. I volunteered at a cat rescue off/on for 4yrs. I fostered, medicated, fed, cleaned & socialized cats/kittens. I also trapped, transferred (to neutering/spay) & returned. I’ve had many customers over the last 4yrs with dogs, cats, chickens, geckos, lizards, horses and birds. I’m willing to sit with just about any animal, if I’m shown what to do!

Laurie is simply amazing! I wouldn’t write such a glowing review if she wasn’t such a Godsend to us! She is so professional, on time, communicative and sensitive to our (and our pet’s needs)! She’s just the best! I also hesitate to write this glowing review, knowing that once you try her you’ll use her as much as we do (and then we’ll have trouble booking her). But, that’s ok. ‘Cause we want her to be successful and be our sitter for years to come.

Laurie is amazing! She was on time feeding our cats, made sure everyone was well fed, cleaned the bowls and litter boxes, and even swept! She’s like the ‘longtime friend’ that you are completely confident in. We’ve already booked her for our next trip - simply amazing and highly recommend her.

Laurie is a pleasure. I work some long shifts and it’s nice to know I have a trustworthy person who coming to show my dog some love when I can’t be there. Definitely reduces the guilt .

Laurie is absolutely amazing with my boys. She has been very dependable and responds to my inquiries regarding availability in a timely manner. She has saved me in a pinch several times during unexpected situations where my boys needed to be cared for, such as long work days and unexpected illness. She was absolutely fantastic with my old boy Brady. He was 18 and could neither see nor hear very well. He also needed hand fed, given medication and his face cleaned daily due to both of the aforementioned. She did it all, gladly. She was so gentle and patient with him. Unfortunately, Brady passed away recently but she is still sitting for my other two boys, Rizzy, who is 3 years of age, and Bentley, who is 1 year. They absolutely love her! She plays with them in the back yard, giving quality time and attention to them both. She is also great with sending reports and pictures from her visits (the pictures are my favorite 😁 💜🐾). I highly recommend Laurie and I appreciate her very much. Laurie, Rizzy Rizz and Benny Ben love you 💜🐾! P.S. The pictures I posted were taken by Laurie and sent to me along with her visit report 😃.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have multiple baseline costs, they vary a bit for cats vs.dogs. Drop ins starting at Cats $15, Dogs $20 Overnights starting at Cats $60, Dogs $75 24x7 Overnights starting at Cats $75, Dogs $100 $100-$120 Depending on # & type of pets. Additional $5 for gas, if necessary, each round trip All starting prices will go up based on the level of effort(distance &/or time on the job).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
They reach out to me, I respond & we ask & answer questions, usually through the app or text, then I provide them with a quote. If everything is satisfactory, we schedule a meet & greet so we can meet in person, including the animals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No animal specific training other than hands on while pet sitting. I am looking into different certifications, including life resuscitation for animals, but I haven't signed up for any yet.
