Matt C. says, "Benito responded promptly when I contacted him through Thumbtack and came over within 24 hours to give a more detailed estimate. I hired him initially to finish an attic space with insulation, drywall, mud and texture, and paint as well as build a reach in closet and move a doorway. He stayed on schedule, but at the beginning of the work we discovered a window leak in a window that another contractor had installed previously. The window ended up having to be replaced, and we didn’t want to finish drywalling around the window until we were certain that the window leak was fixed so Benito was delayed several weeks in being able to finish the room.
Benito was flexible during that time and adjusted his schedule. While waiting, we hired him to do additional work. In the adjacent game room he removed some French doors and replaced the trim with flat trim in preparation for a barn door. I opened up another doorway which I had to reframe and cut away the drywall. He repaired the drywall, installed rounded corners, and retextured the wall to cleanly match the existing orange peel texture. He also painted the walls and trim for a game room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a hallway. He initially started to paint the doors by hand, but after we requested, he removed the doors for all of the upstairs rooms and sprayed them in the unfinished room in order to get a more smooth texture.
The defective window had to be remanufactured and replaced which finally happened a couple of days ago, so Benito will finally be able to finish the room. I can post final photos and finalize this review after the job is complete, but so far I have been very happy and impressed with Benito’s work and plan to hire him for additional painting work in my home."See more
