FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Respect, respect, respect. Treat their home with care, listen to their wants and needs, adhere to project estimates as much as possible. Communicate at all phases. You cannot overcommunicate when working on someone’s home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We’ve been to countless training academies, seminars and schools including Moen factory training, Walzcraft Refacing Academy, Schluter Systems, Emser Tile, lighting seminar, and numerous others. But the most important education comes from years of hands on service where problems and presented that require unique solutions. Being a great remodeler requires you to be a master problem solver. We have the knowledge to bring your project home, on-budget and exceeding expectations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working in West Texas for a flooring company that also remodeled bathrooms and kitchens. I’d sell a project and watch unknowledgeable, barely qualified workers come in and make the same mistakes over and over. I would attend vendor trainings and discuss technical issues with manufacturers, plumbing and lighting reps, etc. I soon realized “if I want it done right, I have to do it myself” 😂. I left the company and started off on my own. I cherry picked the best subcontractors, laid out my vision and expectations and began to build my company and reputation. Our projects look nothing like these early projects from the flooring store. I cringe at “the way things were always done”. I’m proud of our methods and our completed projects, and we’re continuously improving our processes to this day.
