Hi everyone. Just wanted to get on here and say that Jim is extremely kind, helpful and patient, He explains everything in a very understandable and easy way. After our first session I immediately understood how to look at a chords chart and know which ones to play and how to play them. He has in person or virtual sessions on Zoom available which is extremely convenient and overall really great for when you don’t have transportation. He’s very experienced and is a true pro when it comes to the guitar. I really recommend him to anyone of any age to take lessons from him, I promise you won’t be disappointed! I hope everyone has a great day!

My wife and I are amazed how patient Mr Maguire is with our 9 year old son. He is so encouraging and his energy is amazing . He is a musician by passion and I can tell he loves teaching it. Our son only has 2 sessions so far and we can already see growth and interest!! We are very happy with his lessons

Jim was a fantastic teacher, and in the short time I was able to work with him I improved so much in my playing and learned more about theory and it's applications to the instrument than I had on my own for months! He has a nice, relaxed attitude that makes for a comfortable environment to learn and experiment in. If you have clear goals for yourself or pieces you'd like to learn, he is very supportive and will focus on helping you get to where you want to be. Overall, I highly recommend him as an instructor, especially for those who may be nervous or trepidatious about starting lessons :)

I've been working with Jim remotely for guitar lessons for a few months. He quickly assessed my ability level and preferences and started on a plan to help meet my goals. Where he stands out compared to other instructors I've used in the past is his ability to not only explain a concept but to provide multiple ways to look at it and to provide practice plan / songs that include that concept to make learning more interesting.
