FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
DISCOUNTS (WHO DOESN'T LIKE DISCOUNTS?!) Within my business model, I offer memberships which make households eligible to purchase packages and receive any type of discount. This is to make sure those who show intent to spend with me receive discounts to get on my schedule often oppose to one-off lessons by people within the area. However, on this platform, I have decided to offer a few discounts that may be of interest for prospects which include discounts for home visits as well as bookings that are conducted at playgrounds or indoor gyms during times of the day with little to no foot traffic. Besides in-person 2-pack introductory rates, I also offer hybrid-structured lessons (one in-person and one virtual) along with semi-private lessons (2 - 4 persons) to provide flexibility with socio-economical solutions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to jump on a phone call or to have the prospect meet earlier than the time slot if possible, to hear from their mouth what they are good at and what they feel they need help with. This holds all parties accountable while I also make recommendations after an initial assessment during the first 15 minutes of the lesson.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off helping with summer camps while at The University of Kansas and I enjoyed the interaction and demonstrating skills which tend to light the youth's eyes up (of course wanting us to dunk also haha). Fast forwarding to recent years, I found myself mentoring younger players when I was playing overseas in Europe as it's the norm for teenagers to practice or play with professionals. From skill work to sports psychology, I found myself doing it without any thought of being compensated for my expertise. I realized that as I transitioned to retirement, I wanted to help players develop regardless of their skill level.
