- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For weddings I typically go over the details of the wedding day in-person and get a good sense of what styles of photography or cinematography you are most interested in. To book the date of your wedding we require a 30% deposit. All consultations are free. For Family or Portrait sessions, there is no need for an initial meeting. We simply discuss some details over the phone, and if you have any particular samples that you have seen online and liked, I ask that you email them to me so I can better tailer the photos to your taste. After finding the date that works for you we will go ahead and book your session. A $40 deposit to book the session is required and the remaining balance is paid on the day of the shoot.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Regardless of the pricing, make sure the photographer is good at what he/she does and if the style matches your taste. A little price difference should not deter you from a pro if you like his/her work; that is especially true if you're looking to hire them for your wedding.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How many pictures do I get? Will my pictures be edited? Will I be able to print them on my own? What is your cancellation policy?
