Larry picked the door up from Home Depot for us and promptly came over and go to work. The door looks great! He also installed a doggie door in the new back door for $40. There were no surprises (which for me is always a concern when people work on our house) - he installed the door professionally and we paid him the price we had agreed to. Larry & Katie switched our old, black wooden door that was drafty & misaligned with a new fiberglass door we purchased locally, that they picked up and painted in the custom color I chose. Installation of our gorgeous blue was efficiently completed in just a couple of hours for a very competitive & fair price. Larry fixed the trim, threshold & sweep for us, too and Katie repainted the trim white. Transformation was night to day! Highly recommended over going with a pro through the hardware store.

Despite this, raising the weatherization for $140 might sound a little expensive.
I decided to just pay it due to
1. Provide friendly explanations of all other options and additional information on caring for the external door.
2. Timely response and arranging work during the weekends.
These are why I believe it was worth $140.

If anyone needs an amazing handyman call Alex Repair. Alex just replaced our door frame and trim that was coming away from the wall. It looks so nice! He was on time, very professional, courteous and fast. We recommend him highly. Thank you Alex!

Merit and team did a fantastic job communicating schedules and coordinating when they would be on site. They followed this up with superior work installing the doors and hardware. They also went above and beyond and took care of a few little things for me as well. All of this was done at a fantastic value when compared to other quotes I received. I will definitely be using the team at Alpha again!!!

Alex was responsive and showed up on time. But when I had questions about the smart lock installation he was rude and argumentative, I let that slide and stayed out of his way for the remainder of the repairs. After he had the smart lock installed we had a deadbolt that was removed and there is a hole above in the door that now shows. When I asked what he was going to do to cover this, he told me that I could put a sticker over the hole…? That was the whole point of hiring him.
At this point he still had to finish the rest of the repairs and only wanted to deal with my wife.
After he left, I looked at the repairs and the installation was incomplete and it looks horrible.
Nothing worse to pay for something and receive poor service. Guess we got duped, never again.
The new hinges on the bottom of the door are missing screws, one set of hinges has a gold colored deck screw installed.
The quality of repairs was sub par and definitely not treated like his motto of treating it like it was his own.
***I have attached pictures that should speak for themselves on the level of quality and lack of attention to detail.
He was rude and appeared to be in a rush.
As the customer, I felt like he discarded my requests on the door repair.
My background is in facilities and working closely with professional contractors my whole life.
I would not recommend this gentlemen, and go with a true craftsman that listens to the customer, does the repairs correctly, and takes their time to pay attention to detail.

I am updating 5* to single * after how Merit left me towards the end.
It was good, he was very committed and nice and did multiple things, but didn't finish and abandoned work.
Started with doors as my initial contract and he did good there, he was trying to see if he can help with additional things and agreed for kitchen remodeling and then windows and interior painting, fence etc) and appliances etc.
Appliances are not connected, electric wires were connected wrongly and then was complained about this being old house,and took help from electrician who said they were right but connected wrong after painting.
appliances are not connected and verified for working condition, my brand new RO (installed by plumber earlier) is missing, the backsplash cover is not sticking properly and kitchen counter top and the wall have gap and now.
For multiple things are left unfinished. He is a nice person but what you get is what you get and not happy about how he left me, I was more transparent about money and he was always eager to extend the work but finally he deserted me.
Summary is how ever nice a contractor is, do not TRUST them until your work is completely done.
I am now working with other contractors to finish my work. it is not just money but timelines and multiple trips to property caused by this abrupt leaving of the contractor.
I still like him but wish he was just not "nice, nice, nice and then desert" person and rather discuss with me if he needed more money and present what is costing for him.
