Larry picked the door up from Home Depot for us and promptly came over and go to work. The door looks great! He also installed a doggie door in the new back door for $40. There were no surprises (which for me is always a concern when people work on our house) - he installed the door professionally and we paid him the price we had agreed to. Larry & Katie switched our old, black wooden door that was drafty & misaligned with a new fiberglass door we purchased locally, that they picked up and painted in the custom color I chose. Installation of our gorgeous blue was efficiently completed in just a couple of hours for a very competitive & fair price. Larry fixed the trim, threshold & sweep for us, too and Katie repainted the trim white. Transformation was night to day! Highly recommended over going with a pro through the hardware store.

Despite this, raising the weatherization for $140 might sound a little expensive.
I decided to just pay it due to
1. Provide friendly explanations of all other options and additional information on caring for the external door.
2. Timely response and arranging work during the weekends.
These are why I believe it was worth $140.

If anyone needs an amazing handyman call Alex Repair. Alex just replaced our door frame and trim that was coming away from the wall. It looks so nice! He was on time, very professional, courteous and fast. We recommend him highly. Thank you Alex!

I recently hired him to fix a door that wasn't closing properly. The issue was simple enough – just a couple of screws – but I wanted it done right. While the handyman was friendly and provided good customer service, I'm ultimately disappointed with the work, especially considering the $100 charge.
The job did not just consisted of simply replacing two screws. While the door now stays closed, a second opinion revealed that the repair was insufficient. Apparently, more support should have been added to the door structure beyond just screwing the strike plate back in. Frankly, I could have done the two screws myself, and I feel like I paid a premium for a very basic fix that didn't address the underlying issue. I essentially paid $100 for something that didn't actually solve the problem long-term.
While I appreciate the handyman's pleasant demeanor, the lack of proper support and the high price for such a simple task left me feeling like I was overcharged and was screwed over. I wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving a tip, as the value of the service didn't match the cost. I would recommend getting multiple quotes and clearly outlining your expectations before hiring for even seemingly small jobs like this.

I hired Carlos, with Change-up, to install a storm door at my house and he had done an excellent job. Arrived on time, and set the expectations prior to beginning the work. I ended up using his assistance for an additional work that was not planned during the initial communication and he was able to accommodate and complete that as well, of course for an additional fee. Overall, satisfied with his work and highly recommend m.

Alex was responsive and showed up on time. But when I had questions about the smart lock installation he was rude and argumentative, I let that slide and stayed out of his way for the remainder of the repairs. After he had the smart lock installed we had a deadbolt that was removed and there is a hole above in the door that now shows. When I asked what he was going to do to cover this, he told me that I could put a sticker over the hole…? That was the whole point of hiring him.
At this point he still had to finish the rest of the repairs and only wanted to deal with my wife.
After he left, I looked at the repairs and the installation was incomplete and it looks horrible.
Nothing worse to pay for something and receive poor service. Guess we got duped, never again.
The new hinges on the bottom of the door are missing screws, one set of hinges has a gold colored deck screw installed.
The quality of repairs was sub par and definitely not treated like his motto of treating it like it was his own.
***I have attached pictures that should speak for themselves on the level of quality and lack of attention to detail.
He was rude and appeared to be in a rush.
As the customer, I felt like he discarded my requests on the door repair.
My background is in facilities and working closely with professional contractors my whole life.
I would not recommend this gentlemen, and go with a true craftsman that listens to the customer, does the repairs correctly, and takes their time to pay attention to detail.
