FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is the same for all students - the only difference will be if I have to travel to your home, there may be a travel upcharge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With most students, I begin with the basics - parts of the guitar, scale up the neck, how the guitar works, etc. I then move in to posture, proper ergonomics, and rhythm exercises. From then, we move into first position chords - majors, minors and sevenths Gotta know these frontwards, backwards, and in your sleep! Pentatonic scales are next, followed by barre chords, scales, and then more advanced techniques. Along the way, music theory is being "sprinkled in" and, as you learn certain chords and scales, you'll learn songs that will help you apply what you're learning!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Like most of my students, I really don't have any formal musical training. I've jammed forever and played in a number of bands around the Metroplex. I've learned much of what I know the hard way and had to break some bad habits along the way, but that's to YOUR advantage because I'll make sure you don't develop these bad habits!!
