- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You never know until you ask ;) if it’s a new kind of shoot for me, I’m more than likely going to be more lenient on pricing (eg an intimate destination elopement, a creative boudoir session, etc) but it’s SUPER important to at least start the conversation with me!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I firstly want to hear about their shoot. I want to hear about what excites them and their own expectations for their experience. Then I love nailing down the details of the “when and where” and eventually talking about prices and packages. All the while, I’m using these questions to try to understand them more and get a vibe for how our shoot will work! If they’re local, I’m all about grabbing coffee and talking it over a nice cup o joe.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds. I’ve worked for the insanely worried types to the most chill/go with the flow types. I’ve done corporate works but most of it is freelance. I have over 100 weddings/elopements under my belt and I’m slowly building up my headshot, lifestyle/blogging and boudoir client list too.
