FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It really all depends on the type of shoot that I'm being asked to do. In general, I charge a standard rate for a 1 hour photo shoot that includes 5 to 10 final edited and retouched images. I do increase the rate slightly to accommodate travel beyond a reasonable 20 mile or so trip. I also offer add on product such as additional retouched images, prints, albums, and books.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll start with a conversation to determine what you are looking to get out of our session. I'll also ask if there are any samples of photos you really like to get a better sense of your tastes. Then in the session my goal is to get you to participate and pull out your best. I also enjoy the editing and post processing allowing me to deliver the highest quality in my final deliverable to the you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always looking to learn new things and stay current. I read books and articles, attend internet courses, practice, practice, practice what I learn. I have taken many workshops with noted professional photographers such as Joe McNally, Moose Peterson, Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski, and Lindsay Adler. From them I learned not only the technical aspects of photography, but also the artistic side. And the reason I do all of this is so I can take better pictures of you.
