FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75/hour for initial organization. You will be charged for my time on the job, for shopping and time dropping off donations that I am able to haul away if applicable. I do offer maintenance sessions on areas that I have previously organized at a rate of $50/hr. My virtual rate is $50/hr (1 hr minimum) where we can consult over zoom about your spaces, what I would do if I were physically there and what product I would recommend for these areas.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to receive detailed pictures of the spaces needing organizing so I can get an idea of what it might take in terms of time. Then I like to schedule an initial call to talk about goals, challenges and aspirations for these areas. At that time I may either ask for more pictures or I might have a good enough idea to give a rough quote over the phone. From there, we can schedule a date for the service. I work in an hourly basis so you will only be charged for the hours worked, which can be paid at the end of the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I feel that organizing and working with clients looking for solutions, it is more of an innate skill as opposed to a learned one. The love of organizing is not something everyone possesses, but if they do, it is at the top of the list of qualities that makes someone good at it. Nothing affects quality like love and joy. The ability to evaluate an area while considering space constraints, product possibilities, personal style as well as habits an lifestyle is a skill that cannot be taught, rather fine turned through practice and experience. Encountering different spaces with different dimensions all while considering the mental roladex of available product and knowing what works time and time again is something that only time on the job can provide. I was a teacher and private tutor for 15 years, most of that time is special education, so I have experience accommodating specific needs, individualized plans and consideration of personal challenges that can affect growth and success.
