We tried their jerk chicken, oxtail, and Mac and cheese! Loved the flavor especially the sauce on the jerk chicken. Everyone that works there is so lovely and you can tell they really care about their food and customers. Will be back!

Rich and delicious oxtail, savory Mac n cheese, zesty jerk chicken and a fantastic beef pie, I live in south Austin but I know the best jerk spot in Austin is here at Mr. Pimento! The service was great and I felt right at home

If you're a fan of Jamaican food, don't try this place. I was unlucky enough to show up while they were having a tasting event, and I was caught in the crossfire of vendors who were too friendly and an environment that was suffocatingly welcoming. The first course consisted of Oxtail and Mac, and the so-called "Mac-and-cheese" was far too flavorful and cheesy to be considered edible. The Oxtail was ridiculously tender, so much so that it melted in my mouth before I could even chew! Next came the Jerk Chicken, and whoever made that spent WAY too long cooking it carefully at the perfect temperature, leaving me with a mess of meat and sauce that made my mouth water even AFTER eating it! The jerk corn was last, leaving me with a sweet and smoky flavor that i couldn't shake. Almost forgot to mention the Hibiscus Tea that made me feel like a freaking hummingbird with how sweet of a nectar it was on my tongue. Worst of all, they shoveled so much delicious food in my fat face that I didn't have any room for the tacos that I had shown up for. Thanks a LOT, Mr. Pimento!

On a whim, I stopped by Pink Flamingo to see who was open and found Mr. Pimento. Their food is delicious; highly recommend the jerk chicken and oxtail. I dont know what they put on their corn but it was fantastic. Please support your local businesses.
