I admit I gave Cris a tough assignment. I booked her for a surprise engagement photo shoot.I met with her at the location first (outdoors). On the day of the engagement, I asked her to approach us and ask to take our picture. My finac was very receptive and totally off-guard. As we posed for the picture, I dropped down to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage.Cris was prepared every step of the way! She was prompt and on-time for our first meeting, and early on the day of the photoshoot. I am so glad I chose her for my special moment. The pictures turned out fantastic! Neither of us was sure what to do after the moment (or during for that matter), but she encouraged us to be ourselves. Ultimately, we had a private moment that we were able to share with our friends and family.It totally paid off! We were very comfortable and we ended up with fantastic pictures! I can't recommend Cris Castelli Photography enough! Five stars and two thumbs up. I will be booking her for more photos during our wedding process.

Cris was an INCREDIBLE photographer to work with, and I would highly recommend her for engagement, elopement, and wedding photography! We worked with Cris for a destination photoshoot, and she was so easy coordinate with. She made both my partner and I feel so at ease and laid back, and this really came through in the photos. She 100% captured our personalities in the photos, and we are so excited to have these for years to come to remember this special moment.

I wanted to do something special for my 30th birthday. I'd never had photos professionally taken. In my project description I explained that I'm an introvert, that I feel safer behind the scenes and was quite shy about taking solo photos. In the message I also expressed to Cris my mixed feelings of doubt and shared many cluttered ideas. She suggested a brief phone consultation. She attentively listened to me and my story; that made my experience with her feel much more personal. That chat eased my uncertainty and together we clarified my jumbled vision. Her experience and guidance helped me simplify and prioritize my plans in order for my session to run fluently and to be most efficient with our time. She was incredibly encouraging about my feminine, self-love, growth, empowerment concept -as a friend would be. I knew then that I'd chosen the right artist for the "feminine intention" I wanted to illustrate.We kept in touch in the following weeks to deliberate locations. I was impressed with her familiarity of the abundant picturesque areas throughout Austin and at her willingness to (literally) go the extra mile for the best landscape shots.The morning of she was punctual, friendly and appeared to be just as eager as I was. I showed up with a cart full of props: flowers, a book, a tea set, art canvas, baskets, a hat, wooden chair and dresses. I took more than necessary in my expectation to fill awkward moments but there weren't any! It felt as if I were hanging with a friend. I was also impressed with her astute direction utilizing the props and her meticulous attention to detail. She seemed determined to get the best angles and was not rushed, in fact the opposite. I am grateful for that generosity.I could not have chosen a better equipped photographer. I received the photos earlier than expected. My friends and family complimented on the grace and elegance of the photos. The experience and final production was invaluable. My photos are beautiful!Thank you Cris for your hard work.

Our destination wedding experience was incredible! My husband and I took the decision to do something different and opted for an adventure elopement in a magical location and Cris was wonderful in supporting us and making our dream come true! She helped us with all the arrangements, making the whole process a joy to plan and totally stress free (which was one of our biggest concerns and our main reason for not opting for a traditional wedding!).From our first contact, she was extremely kind and knew exactly what we needed. She provided us with a list of details to be aware of on our day, and recommended locations, vendors, and gave us a ton of useful advice! And the photos were stunning! Cris is a fantastic professional! Right from the get-go she was really easy to work with. We eloped a few months ago and despite all the uncertainties and anxiety caused by the Covid situation, she made all the process really easy and stress-free. She was not only our photographer, she helped us with our entire planning as well, from picking the location to referring vendors, she was like a friend helping organize our day with us.
