Hi, my name is Sarah. Welcome to my Thumbtack page! My roots are in photojournalism with a newfound love for capturing people both in the studio and outside. My goal is to capture essence, spirit and authenticity. I work with a wonderful variety of people and companies, from the guy next door to the latest screen actor. For me, it’s all about making the most out of every photo assignment and creating imagery that makes people happy. I can provide photo editing and restoration services. Whether the photos are printed or digital, negatives or slides, I have all the right equipment to accomplish the required work. I specialize in portrait/lifestyle photography but I also do real estate, product/commercial and event photography. I'm a published photographer with cover work for "CIO Applications", "Millenium A Marquis Who's Who Magazine" and my work has also been featured in the Nashville Post and Mainstreet Nashville among other publications. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a brief discussion about what is needed. I'll ask different questions about the style of photography, who is involved, what they would like to achieve and if they have any examples of other work they would like to emulate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm mostly self-taught but I did attend a 2-year college in Commercial Photography. I also enjoy taking refresher courses online to stay up to date with current techniques and/or new trends that pertain to the field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became interested in photography when I was very young (11 years old). My father showed me the basics back in 1992 and photography has been an important part of my life ever since.
