I submitted a request for a dumpster on Saturday for a Monday. Thumbtack told me it was booked. I received a phone call Sunday to tell me they needed more info. I found out then they did not service my area. I was also told they don’t use Thumbtack anymore for booking services. Why are they on Thumbtack if they don’t use it anymore? And why did it show up as servicing my area if they don’t? I don’t know if this is a Thumbtack issue or a user error. If they don’t use Thumbtack then they need to take themselves off Thumbtack. If the don’t cover the Etowah area but they do use Thumbtack, they need to update their service area. Regardless, the person I spoke with on Sunday told me she would check with the manager about making an exception. I was told I’d hear something Monday morning. I have a multi day job happening so it will be fine if the dumpster is a day late. As Monday afternoon, I have heard anything. I’ve given them three stars because I have used Thumbtack as a Pro before. I know these things can be cumbersome, but their lack of responsiveness and the inaccuracy of information makes it hard to give any more than that.
