- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I call the potential client & arrange a date for an initial meet & greet with the client & their pet(s). This is mandatory before the final booking. At that meeting we will discuss access into your home, pet medications, number of visits, and other details. This is necessary to assess needs & to start the process of building mutual trust with each other - pet owners as well as the pets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began pet sitting (a rabbit) for neighbors when I was in grade school to make some extra money. Fast forward to 2002, when I began pet sitting again after being laid off from a full-time accounting job when the USA tanked after 9/11, once again to make some extra money. In 2003 I was finally re-hired for a new full-time job, but continued on with my pet sitting business as long as I could schedule my visits before & after the end of my full-time-work day hours.
